RN Volunteer in…
Utila

Medical Mission
“Hearts 2 Honduras” (H2H)
Utila, like many smaller islands in the Caribbean, has a limited healthcare infrastructure, and medical volunteers play a key role in providing services and support to the local population. Our focus was on prevention and education for the residents of Utila. Teaching about hygiene, disease prevention, vaccination campaigns, maternal health education, and raising awareness of common illnesses like dengue fever or waterborne diseases is a vital part of our healthcare outreach.
We ran mobile health clinics and traveled around Utila to serve different communities. We set up our clinics in a church as well as a school. These initiatives provide an opportunity to deliver care in areas that don’t have regular access to healthcare services.
Volunteer nursing on Utila is a unique and rewarding experience that allows you to make a real difference in the lives of islanders while immersing yourself in a beautiful, tropical setting. If you're looking for a chance to contribute, experience a different culture, and live in a laid-back paradise, volunteering on Utila is an excellent choice.
